Brief Description

  

1. Scope of Work Programme

The goal of the programme is the scientifical establishment and the elaboration of solutions, methods, technologies, equipment for the sustainable development of the food industry and agriculture, food safety assurance, the improvement of the life quality, and the sustainable rural development in Romania.

The research and development programme AGRICULTURE - FOOD INDUSTRY (AGRAL) is an interdisciplinary programme, with objectives that aim the obtainment of new scientific and technological results, new products or informational products for end-users.

2. Research Thematic Areas

Subprogramme 1: "RESNAT" - Evaluation, protection, improvement and utilization of natural resources in accordance with the principles of the sustainable agriculture development.

Subprogramme 2: "GESICA" - Genotypes and high-performance technological systems for the field crops

Subprogramme 3: "POLEVIT'- Competitive horticultural products and the sustainable development of the horti-viticultural agro-systems.

Subprogramme 4: "ZOOMED'- Animal husbandry production systems and systems for sanitary-veterinary protection

Subprogramme 5: "INDAL"- Resources, food technologies and products, food quality and safety

Subprogramme 6: "ECOMA"- Modern and efficient marketing and management systems for agriculture and food industry

Subprogramme 7: "SIMAGRO"- Systems, machines, tools and equipment for agriculture and food industry

Subprogramme 8: "AGROTURISM" - Evaluation and promotion of the tourism potential and agro-tourism development.


3. Financial instruments of AGRAL

Demonstration project - PED type

This type of project aims at the development of models/solution for products / technologies / services.

The projects materialize in experimental models, functional models, laboratory technologies etc.

All projects obligatory end with the presentation and demonstration of the functionality and applicability of the proposed model/solution, in the view of promotion.

Maximum project duration: 24 months.

Technological development project - PDT type

This type of project aims at the development of execution plans for prototypes/pilot scale equipment etc. (or equivalent: processing plans, implementation plans etc.)

The project should finalize with the technical documentation for technical execution of prototypes/ pilot scale equipment etc.

Maximum project duration: 24 months.

Technological transfer project - PA type

This type of project aims at the development by the enterprises, in cooperation with R&D units, of the prototypes/pilot scale equipment etc. for new products / technologies/ services (or equivalent, for working plans, development plans).

The project should finalize with the obtainment of licence or certification for prototypes/pilot scale equipment, technology, methods, services

Maximum project duration: 30 months.

Implementation projects - PV type

This type of project aims at the implementation / application/ utilization of new products/technologies in enterprises, in cooperation with specific R&D units.

For equivalent works (working plans, development plans etc.) the target is the obtainment of the execution authorization for them.

The project should necessary finalize with certification (product, prototype, processes, operation methodology etc.).

Maximum project duration: 30 months.


4. Financial support from the Ministry of Education and Research, for the entire duration of a project, amounts to a maximum of ROL 5 billion
